My article, “To Kill a Thief: Punishment, Proportionality, and Criminal Subjectivity in Locke’s Second Treatise” has been published in the new issue of  Political Theory. While the final version is behind the journal’s “pay-wall,” an earlier draft is freely available via SSRN. Thank you to the countless people who helped me produce this article.
